Last two years have been the slowest time activating for me. 2023 my daughter had a house fire in her apartment. So her and our 2 (now3) year old came to live with us until she could get back on her feet. And this year 2024 is almost over and my activations have not increased. Life just gets in the way and hasn't left much time for radio Perhaps 2025 I will try to do a few more parks then I have been. I guess we will do USPOTA for 2024, so I should at least have one more activation in me this year.
Thanks to everyone who came out to the 2021 8th Annual Ugly Sweater Portable On The Air Event at #2438 Hampton Ponds State Park... With the three stations we had running and the 8 licensed hams that stopped by to visit and perhaps operate was an outstanding success!
I think to the people who showed up agreed on one thing. We ALL NEEDED THIS. These past 2 years dealing with C-19 has really weighed heavy on all of us. For these two years, (and counting) we have been taking it the chin with this pandemic sucker punch... And it was really nice of you to be brave enough, and take the correct precautions to meet up at the park yesterday...…

This past Friday (March 05, 2021), I activated K-7544 Windsor Locks Canal State Trail in CT, (a newer addition to the roster), when I was there I worked a Park 2 Park in VA with Beau, KH7FC who recorded park of the QSO... Beau and his son were at K-7803 Savage Neck Dunes.
Anyway Beau sent me the video link on you tube, and it came out great. In fact all of Beau's videos are pretty informative and fun to watch. Highly recommended... Here is the link below with my captured audio.
